WestCOP is undergoing a realignment of its community-based services as the organization transitions away from its role as a Community Action Agency.
While WestCOP will no longer operate Community Action Programs, our commitment to helping individuals and families throughout the communities we serve remains strong.
WestCOP will continue providing essential supportive services that address critical needs, including food assistance and other resources that help individuals and families maintain stability and well-being.

As WestCOP moves forward, we are actively seeking community partners, nonprofit organizations, businesses, foundations, and other stakeholders who share our commitment to helping individuals and families in need. Through collaboration and new partnerships, we can expand resources, strengthen supportive services, and continue addressing the needs of the communities we serve.
WestCOP welcomes organizations interested in working together to support our mission of helping people and changing lives and looks forward to building meaningful partnerships that will strengthen our impact for years to come.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
WestCOP’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program will transition to new providers serving veterans and their families throughout the region. Soldier On will provide SSVF services in Putnam, Orange, Rockland, Ulster, Dutchess, and Sullivan Counties, while Services for the Underserved (SUS) will provide SSVF services in Westchester County.
These organizations will continue providing critical support to veterans and their families, including assistance designed to promote housing stability and prevent and end homelessness. WestCOP is grateful for the opportunity to have served veterans and their families through the SSVF program and is committed to supporting Services for the Underserved and Soldier On in any way possible to help ensure a smooth continuation of services for veterans and their families throughout the region.
