Our Agency mission for forty-three years has meant a steadfast effort to help those most in need in our community. We continue not only to provide assistance of all kinds but offer the opportunity for others to serve. We find our community an exciting one in which to live and work. It is rich in its diversity and its major resource its people.
This year we will once again be electing a new Congress as well as a President. We know you will see to it that your friends and neighbors are mobilized so we have a large turnout in this historic election. There are many issues to be addressed, all impacting our community and the funds that support us. These include education, housing, child care, workforce development, health care and the criminal justice system. Change will take place, and by speaking out we can make it positive.
The challenges we face in the future are even more difficult than those we dealt with in the past. It is clear that our focus must continue on our youth. We must provide visible options for them so they can view their future with optimism. This will enable them to set goals and expectations leading to success in education and careers.
I thank our board and staff who help us to accomplish our mission of preserving and enhancing self sufficiency and the well being of individuals and families. We continue to seek and value the volunteers who contribute both time and other resources to make our programs those of quality and excellence. Those of you with ideas please communicate with us.
Please contact me with your comments and suggestions.
