Services HEATING ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (H.E.A.P.) ~ This seasonal program assists the income-eligible not card for by the Westchester County Department of Social Services or the Office for the Aging to apply for and obtain Federal benefits which will help them pay utility bills. H.E.A.P. assures that some of our neediest residents won't be "our in the cold"! LEGAL ASSISTANCE and INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS ~ Urgent needs for informational seminars and hands-on legal assistance to those being denied education and job training, those facing complete loss of income, and families facing eviction without legal representation due to the overburdening of existing lecal aid services no longer able to provide representation in many civil matters. VICTIMS ASSISTANCE SERVICES ~ Provides relief to those who have been victimized by crime-related circumstances through counceling, outreach, support groups, compensation. etc (Counselor available by appointment) YOUTH EMPLOYMENT and TRAINING PROGRAM ~ Offers job preparation, interview training, resume writing, application services, career and educational counceling. Youth who would otherwise be at risk for conflicts with the legal system, drug usage, or cessation of their educational path are guided toward programs Providing structure, discipline, and healthy recreational activities. They know "the door is always open," and some will be there for them, if only just to listen!
